Studio
Origin
SoTech began inside a geotechnical engineering practice. Twenty years of watching drilling firms and civils teams make do with software built fifteen years ago led us to build our own.
We now ship our own products (GIMLabs, Diggy) and build custom software for ambitious teams in specialised industries. The geotech roots explain everything else.
Twenty years of ground engineering behind the studio. Two live products. A small, senior team.

Director · Engineer & designer
Designs and builds in the same head. Most days on GIMLabs, Diggy on the side. Owns the way SoTech-built software looks and feels.
Director · Geotechnical engineer
Founded SoTech. Current CEO of Soiltechics alongside, so he stays active in ground engineering day to day. Keeps the studio honest about the work, the data, and the people doing it.
How we work
01
Small team, senior throughout, by design. No leverage model, no account managers, no work passed down a chain. The people you meet at the start are the people doing the build.
02
We use AI extensively to ship faster and harder. We're honest about where it helps and where it doesn't. What lands in production is what matters.
03
Generic software fits nobody well. We go deep in geotech and take that discipline into adjacent industries: civils, environmental, mining. Vertical work needs vertical understanding.
The project planner is the structured way in. The contact form is the lighter one. Either lands in our inbox.
